A Movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the finale.

This is a good film, but one that I was originally not sure I would like. The trailer does too good of a job keeping much away from the public, and therefore it can be hard to tell what this film is about. But I saw it at an early screening, and I was very impressed. It has action, suspense, mystery and many surprises along the way. It is definitely a film you should see if you want to go on a one of a kind thrill ride.

The basic idea of this film is that Nicky Spurgeon is a con man, and someone who has the job down. He has been doing this job a long time, and knows how to succeed in it. He has a crew that helps him steal from people with machine like precision. By the end of each job, they each get a cut and they go their separate ways.
One day Nicky meets Jess Barnett, a woman who is very attractive and wants to get into this line of work. Nicky is hesitant at first, but decides to show her the ropes. He teaches her everything he knows, and she becomes a part of his team. But along the way some rules are broken, and things end badly in the end for them. They separate and Nicky thinks he will never see Jess again, in fact he hopes and wishes it.
Three years go by, and he is trying to go straight but is hired for a job, one that may set him for life. The job begins, and all seems to be going perfect until he sees Jess at a party. Old feelings return, and he is not sure what to do next. It turns out they are both trying to con the same person, and this makes his job much more difficult. How will he finish his job now? What is she doing in Buenos Aires? And with the stakes and risks getting higher, what are the chances they will survive this job?
This is one of Will Smith’s best performances in years. I have not seen him do this well in a movie since Men in Black 3 and I am Legend. He has some comedic moments, but most of the film he is a straight edged character. He is a man who is intelligent, witty and likes to be steps ahead of everyone so he always wins in the end. He really does a great job of moving this film along, and when things got bad you wondered what new tricks did he have up his sleeve to get through them. He made this film fun for me, and I hope this is not the last time he plays a role like this.
I really liked this movie, and there are many reasons why. It has a cast that really work well together from the stars to the minor characters, and many of them have a bigger part to play than you think. The action is good, but the surprises are what make it a great movie. There are many scenes where you think the characters are in trouble or things just went from bad to worse, but this could not be further from the truth. Smith’s character really seems to have all of his bases covered, no matter how dangerous a situation he may put himself in sometimes.
The comedic moments also lighten up many suspenseful scenes, and I ate this up. When things got too intense, something would happen to bring a chuckle out of me and a smile to my face. I wish I could say more about this film, but any more information would ruin it for you. Trust me when I say it is a movie you should not miss. I would rate this at a 7/10, it was not bad but it is slow at some parts.
If you are looking for a movie that will keep you guessing until the end, this is the film for you. If you want to a film full of suspense and action, look no further. It is not a movie kids should see because of the adult situations and action, but may be good to see with a date or some close friends. Go out and see this movie when it comes out February 27, it is worth the price of a ticket.
